An Update on Our Industry

Our Industry is Changing

You may see things changing on our website and social media to comply with the updated Cosmetic Treatment regulations.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) plays a crucial role in regulating therapeutic goods, including medicines, medical devices, blood, and blood products, in Australia. These regulations aim to safeguard public safety and uphold high standards throughout the health care industry, including cosmetic treatments.

Traditionally, the TGA has allowed the indirect mentions of prescription medications in ads for cosmetic health treatments, allowing only non-specific terms like ‘wrinkle-reducing injections’ or ‘dermal filler’ to promote services. Advertising outside a consultation strictly banned the use of specific products or brand names involved in these treatments.

What has changed?

With the recent adjustments, the TGA is tightening advertising regulations for the cosmetic industry, particularly around treatments linked to prescription medicines. Terms like ‘anti-wrinkle injections‘ or ‘dermal filler’ are looked at closely for suggesting they offer specific medical treatments. This includes using before-and-after photos and pricing for treatments which use prescription products. Thei aim is to create more transparent and accountable communication with clients. To comply with the new guidelines, we have actively removed all before-and-after photographs from our social media and ceased using language that the updates now deem as inconsistent.

What does this mean for you?

Our commitment to being open and transparent with you about the outcomes and treatments you can expect remains unchanged. We will continue to provide you with comprehensive information about these outcomes and treatments. Your informed decisions and collaborative planning with Nurse Cassandra and Dr. Alex will not be affected. However, we will now exclusively share details about available services, treatment options, and pricing during your consultation.

What can you do?

We deeply appreciate our clients sharing their positive experiences with friends and family. Word-of-mouth referrals are incredibly valuable to us. They serve not only as a form of appreciation, but also as a powerful testament to the trust and confidence you place in our services. Every referral reminds us of the strong community we’re building based on shared success and satisfaction. While we navigate these new guidelines, this support means the world to us.

As we embrace these changes, our top priority is offering exceptional care and communication. We’re navigating this new landscape with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and transparency. We highly value your trust, understanding, and support as we navigate these changes. Let’s continue to enhance beauty responsibly, within the new guidelines, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.
