Our most popular Wrinkle-Relaxing Treatment. Upper-Face Wrinkle Relaxing treatment comprises three groups of muscles – frontalis (forehead), glabella (the smooth part of the forehead above and between the eyebrows) and the orbicularis oculi encircling the eye. We can treat these areas singularly or as a three area package.
A ‘Gummy Smile’ occurs when an individual shows too much gum above their teeth when smiling. This is the result from the over-elevation of the upper lip muscle. Gummy smiles can be a source of embarrassment for many people. We treat this muscle to relax the upper lip. This allows the lip to drop and disguise the gumminess of the smile.
Bunny Lines are the small crinkles that form across the bridge of the nose. These lines are caused when we activate the nasalis muscle. Quite often we see these deeper bunny lines in people who wear glasses. We can easily soften these crinkles by relaxing either side of the bridge of the nose.
Lower Face Wrinkle-Relaxing treatments include the DAO or ‘Depressor Anguli Oris’ and the Orbicularis Oris Muscle which encircles the mouth.
DAO treatment targets the downward turn of the corners of the mouth. Some people have quite a strong pull in this area and can in turn, pull the smile down. This creates what is known as a downward or ‘sad clown’ smile. By treating this area, we relax the muscle. This assists in turning these corners upwards to a ‘happy smile’ appearance.
A ‘Lip Flip’ treatment targets the orbicularis oris muscle. As we age, this muscle tends to curl the lip inward, creating a flatter smile. In treating the vermillion boarder we relax the underlying muscle to gently roll the lip outward. This creates the illusion of a more pouty lip. This treatment works particularly well in conjunction with Lip Enhancement.
Peri-Oral Lines or ‘Smokers//Lipstick Lines’ occur when we activate the orbicular oral muscle, such as pursing lips. These lines become more prominent as we age due to the lengthening of the philtrum – the area between the nose and upper lip. It can also be due to extrinsic factors such as sun damage. We treat this area by relaxing the movement of the muscle, helping soften the appearance of these lines.
Jawline Slimming targets the bulky masseter muscle on either side of your lower jaw. This muscle’s function is to assist us in chewing; however, it can become overactive if you have a habit of grinding or clenching your teeth, known as Bruxism. Sometimes, we see people with genetically enlarged muscles that cause a more square-like jawline. In relaxing this muscle, we help to relax its movement. As the product begins to work, our muscle reduces size, thus slimming the jawline. This also reduces your ability to grind or clench your teeth.
A Nefertiti Neck Lift targets the platysmal muscle which sits either side of our neck. As we age, our platysmal muscles shorten and pull down on our jawline. This gravitational pull creates an appearance of the infamous ‘Turkey Neck’ giving us a jowly appearance. This can make a person appear much older than they really are as the contour of our jawline disappears and our platysmal bands look more prominent.
Wrinkle Relaxers are used to To combat this to help smooth the neck muscle. We also target the areas along the prominent bands and beneath the jawline. This in turn relaxes and lengthens the muscle causing an unopposed pull from the above musculature. The result is a lifting of the neck and improved appearance of the jawline.
Anti-sweat treatments of the underarm are another popular treatment at Aesthetic Allure. This treatment helps to reduce the amount of sweat produced on your underarms, enabling you to raise your arms with confidence any time of the year!
To do this, wrinkle relaxers are used to target the areas where the overactive sweat glands are in the armpits. Similarly to how the product works on overactive muscles, the product prevents nerve signals from reaching the sweat glands, reducing their ability to produce sweat.
