Wrinkle & Fine Line Treatments

Wrinkle & Fine Line Treatments

We offer many different treatments designed to address facial lines and wrinkles. These treatments focus on enhancing your natural appearance by reducing the visibility of existing lines and preventing the development of new ones. These treatments target specific muscle groups to encourage relaxation, resulting in a smoother, more youthful facial appearance.

At our clinic, we understand that certain expressions and movements can lead to the formation of deeper lines as part of the natural aging process. Our approach is not about erasing these lines, but about softening them. We aim to do this without compromising your ability to convey emotions naturally, preserving your unique expressions while diminishing the appearance of lines.

The application of these treatments has broadened significantly, extending beyond traditional facial areas to address both aesthetic and therapeutic needs throughout various body regions. Enhancing the upper face remains a highly sought-after service at our clinic, yet our range of treatments encompasses several other areas tailored to meet diverse goals and preferences.

Upper face wrinkles and fine lines are caused by three groups of muscles: the frontalis (forehead), glabella (the smooth part of the forehead above and between the eyebrows), and the orbicularis oculi encircling the eye. We can treat these areas singularly or as a three-area package.

A ‘Gummy Smile’ occurs when an individual shows too much gum above their teeth when smiling. This is the result of the over-elevation of the upper lip muscle. Gummy smiles can be a source of embarrassment for many people. We treat this muscle to relax the upper lip. This allows the lip to drop and disguise the gumminess of the smile.

Bunny Lines are small crinkles that form across the bridge of the nose. They are caused when we activate the nasalis muscle. Quite often, we see these deeper bunny lines in people who wear glasses. Treatment includes softening these crinkles by relaxing either side of the bridge of the nose.

Lower Face Treatments can improve the downward pull of the muscle, improving the appearance of jowling and definition of your jawline. Treatment options include the DAO or ‘Depressor Anguli Oris’ and the Orbicularis Oris Muscle which encircles the mouth.

DAO treatments target the downward turn of the corners of the mouth. Some people have quite a strong pull in this area, which can, in turn, pull the smile down. This creates what is known as a downward or ‘sad clown’ smile.

Peri-oral lines, or ‘Smokers//Lipstick Lines,’ occur when we activate the orbicular oral muscle, such as pursing lips. These lines become more prominent as we age due to the lengthening of the philtrum—the area between the nose and upper lip. They can also be due to extrinsic factors such as sun damage. This muscle also curls the lip inward as we age, creating a flatter smile.

Jawline Slimming targets the bulky masseter muscle on either side of your lower jaw. This muscle’s function is to assist us in chewing; however, it can become overactive if you have a habit of grinding or clenching your teeth, known as Bruxism. Sometimes, we see people with genetically enlarged muscles that cause a more square-like jawline. When treated, our muscle relaxes and reduces size, thus slimming the jawline. This also reduces your ability to grind or clench your teeth.

A Nefertiti Neck Lift targets the platysmal muscle which sits either side of our neck. As we age, our platysmal muscles shorten and pull down on our jawline. This gravitational pull creates an appearance of the infamous ‘Turkey Neck’, giving us a jowly appearance. This can make a person appear much older than they are as the contour of our jawline disappears and our platysmal bands look more prominent.

Our treatments combat this to help smooth the neck, targeting areas along the prominent bands and beneath the jawline. This causes an unopposed pull from the above musculature. The result is a lifting of  the neck and an improved appearance of the jawline.

Anti-sweat treatments help reduce the amount of sweat produced on your underarms, enabling you to confidently raise your arms any time of the year.

To do this, our treatments target the areas where the overactive sweat glands are in the armpits to prevent nerve signals from reaching the sweat glands, reducing their ability to produce sweat.
