Redness, swelling and bruising are all normal. The majority of this will subside within 48 hours; however, do not be alarmed if mild swelling continues a little longer than this, with complete resolution generally occurring by two weeks post-treatment. You can apply ice to the area to help reduce this.
Arnica supplements and Pineapple have been shown to help reduce the longevity of bruising.
Reduce your risk of bruising by staying away from alcohol or vigorous exercise for the following 24 hours.
Avoid any active ingredients in your skincare regime for the first 24 hours following treatment.
Refrain from massaging the treated areas as this can break down the dermal filler particles. Simple analgesia (Panadol) can be used to minimise discomfort.
Do not expose the treated areas to extreme heat or cold until complete resolution of swelling.
As discussed in your consultation, you may require more than one treatment session for optimal results.
If you have any concerns about your treatment results or side effects, please utilise the Emergency Contact information given to you at the end of your consultation. Our team are on call for 24 hours following any volume restoring and facial contouring treatments.

No cosmetic or laser skin treatments can occur 2 weeks before your skin needling treatment. This is due to the skins inflammatory response that will be illicited with treatment.
Immediately after treatment, your skin will be pink and glowing. This will subside over the next day. We recommend staying out of direct sunlight and avoiding any active ingredients in your skincare for the next 24 hours. This is due to the increased thermal sensitivity of the treated area. You should also avoid any anti-wrinkle, dermal filler or microdermabrasion treatments for two weeks post-treatment. Skin needling can be performed every eight weeks, allowing the maturation of new collagen and elastin cells to occur.
Increase your water intake 24 hours prior to your PRP. Being well hydrated assists in obtaining enough blood for the treatment.
Please arrive make up free for any facial treatments.
Please ensure you have washed your hair with no leave-in treatments for any alopecia treatments.
There are minimal restrictions after your PRP & Exosome treatment which means you can return to your daily activities almost immediately!
It is expected to experience some swelling, redness, and some itching after PRP treatments. This swelling can last up to 3-10 days following your procedure. If you experience any pain or discomfort, you can take paracetamol.
For the next 24 hours, it is essential to avoid any skincare with active ingredients (such as Vitamin A/C), which may irritate the area. In addition, avoid vigorous exercise, sun and heat exposure (especially post-micro-needling), and increase your water intake to have at least 1.5L a day (more is always better!)
If you are receiving PRP for alopecia, please avoid wearing head coverings for at least two days until swelling is reduced. Refrain from shampoo/conditioning agents for the first 24 hours. Avoid salon treatments for two weeks until fully healed.
Please arrive make-up-free to your appointment and make sure that you are adequately hydrated.
Discontinue using active skincare ingredients, such as retinol, AHAs, or BHAs, 5-7 days before treatment.
*Note – this treatment will not be performed if you have undergone laser, skin needling, or fine-line treatments within the last two weeks.
It is usual for your skin to feel the heat, akin to ‘sunburn’ for up to a few hours after your treatment.
Redness can be present for up to 3 days post-treatment; however, it does improve.
Expect some fine, mild crusting in the treated areas to appear over 3-4 days post-treatment. Avoid picking or scratching to allow the skin to heal naturally.
Continue to use the prescribed serums and creams every hour for the next day.
Avoid excessive heat and sun exposure, and wear sunscreen if you need to go outside!
Avoid aspirin, nurofen and anti-inflammatories or blood-thinning medications for one week before your treatment as these can increase your chances of bruising on the day of treatment.

Avoid alcohol for 48 hours the day before and after your treatment and stay well hydrated to help minimise bruising.
Do not schedule any microdermabrasion/skin needling/tattoo or permanent make-up/ablative laser treatments two weeks before your thread lift.
Any thread lift treatment should be scheduled at least two weeks after any dental work or surgery.
If you have a special event coming up, you may want to schedule your treatment a month in advance to allow for reduction in swelling and bruising.
Downtime after a thread lift is different for everyone and will depend on how many threads are placed into the skin. It is not uncommon to bruise post the procedure. This is often seen at the entry points where the threads are introduced into the dermal layer. You can apply ice to the skin in intervals to assist the swelling response.
Your clinician will provide you with a face-covering that will help to minimise facial movements for the subsequent few days post-treatment. However, this is not a requirement to wear post-procedure, with most clients opting to wear this at night.
It is advised to refrain from any high-intensity exercise or running for two weeks post-treatment. Hence, your body has time to ‘anchor’ the threads into place during the initial inflammatory response. Light walking is okay.
Follow up appointments can be made from one-month post-procedure when the threads have settled into your skin.
Please avoid having any cosmetic treatments in the area two weeks before treatment.
Please stay well hydrated before your treatment.

The downtime for this treatment is significantly more than our other of our cosmetic treatments. You will need to expect some discomfort after your Fat Dissolving treatment. This discomfort is at its peak for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment. The cellular process which occurs in fat dissolving treatments does elicit a significant inflammatory response. You will notice the beginning of this response immediately after we have completed your treatment. The swelling will be more prominent for the first four days post-treatment. You may experience mild redness, bruising, nodules and a tingling/itchy/numb sensation to the skin. The presence of these symptoms is all signs of the treatment working. Rest assured, these symptoms will settle down in the weeks to come. Once the initial swelling has reduced, you may feel firm lumps within your tissues. Your body will take a few weeks to absorb and excrete these.
To combat any discomfort during the inflammatory stage of your treatment, we recommend ice and simple analgesia such as paracetamol. In addition, we recommend avoiding anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen and steroids as this may affect the inflammatory response of the treatment.
The total effect of your fat-dissolving treatment will be apparent in 4 months. Any further treatments will be organised ten weeks after your initial procedure was performed.
