Wrinkle & Fine Line FAQs

When will I see the results?

You will see a noticeable difference within the first two weeks after your treatment. Some people start to see a reduction in muscle movement as early as four days after their treatment.

How long do wrinkle & fine line treatments last?

The results last, on average, 3-4 months. Regular repeat treatments can increase this duration.

How long does the treatment take?

Appointments are scheduled for half an hour to allow time for a consultation, questions and the treatment itself.

Are there any side effects?

Most patients experience pinpoint redness at the treatment sites for around half an hour post-treatment. As the treatment begins to work, you may notice some temporary strange “sensations” around the treated areas as the muscles that have not been treated adjust. Some people describe this as a heaviness feeling similar to a mild headache. These are only short-term effects that will only last a few days. Temporary weakness of the facial muscles can also occur. It is best to avoid touching/massaging the area after treatment. This ensures the product is not dispersed into other muscles.

Can I resume normal activities after my treatment?

There is no downtime or recovery period! However, you are advised to avoid alcohol, excessive exercise, and hot temperature changes such as saunas for the next 24 hours to prevent sweating out the product. We also recommend avoiding massaging or rubbing the area after the treatment to prevent the product from being dispersed into another muscle. Any laser and facial treatments such as microdermabrasion or skin needling should be avoided for a minimum of 10 days post-treatment.

Who shouldn’t have Wrinle & Fine Line treatments?

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not have this treatment. Although they are not considered dangerous, treatment is best avoided during this time. Wrinkle & Fine line treatments are strictly not recommended for people suffering from diseases involving nerve damage or muscle weakness, such as Eaton Lambert Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis or neurological disorders. Patients currently being treated with amino-glycoside antibiotics or spectinomycin should wait until they have completed their course of treatment. Anyone who has had an allergic reaction to human albumin should not have wrinkle-relaxing treatments.
